Graduate Student Senate presidential candidate Peter Wickman was elected yesterday.

Wickman’s Graduate Solidarity Party, which ran unopposed, swept all of the executive positions. Stephan Oechsle won vice president for committees and legislative affairs, Paul Isherwood won vice president for finance and outreach and Jennifer Schuler won vice president for communications.

Kristin Strobel, chairwoman of the graduate senate Board of Elections, said 260 graduate students voted this year, compared to about 300 students last year.

President-elect Wickman said he was pleased with voter turnout and with the election in general.

“Full speed ahead,” he said. “We’ve got a lot to do.”
