Cops on CALL for students

THE POST

The CALL program began in the spring of 1996 after OUPD officers attended conferences to learn how to work with community members.

OUPD thought this program would improve student/officer relations and decided to create a pilot program in Tiffin Hall, Noftz said.

Cathy Murphy, resident director of Tiffin and Gamertsfelder halls, said once the students get to know the officer, they appreciate the helpful information the officer provides.

"I think for many students it has made a difference," she said.
