Plight of refugees continues AP

KUKES, Albania (AP) - By now, a half-million tragic stories later, the ugly picture is getting steadily uglier: It is one of Serb terror and murder ripping deep Albanian roots from Kosovo soil.

In this 1954 film, Marlon Brando stars as the leader of a biker gang that rolls into a quiet town, causing uproar and panic. Unfortunately, the gang suffers as much from dated-ness as it does from any gang fights. These guys are similar to the West Side Story gang, The Jets.

A cult TV sensation now stands on its last legs, but instead of throwing it a life preserver, many fans have settled for a funeral wreath. So it goes for Mystery Science Theater 3000, the offbeat, oddly appealing film critique that dominated the B.S. Comedy Central (B.S. as in, "Before South Park") for many moons, without the aid of crude animation or anal probe jokes.

Bria will put pressure on herself
    by David Jablonski
    THE POST

Lynn Bria passed her first test with her first sentence after being announced as the new Ohio women's basketball coach.

Ohio Athletics Director Thomas Boeh had just passed the podium off to Bria Tuesday in the Peden Stadium Tower, calling her the super human being without a recognizable downside, the coach who would take Ohio to the next level, perhaps even into the top 25. She had, Boeh said, every component the search committee was looking for - including, it seems, the ability to take the pressure in stride.

Ohio (14-15, 5-3 in the Mid-American conference) is now 2-11 away from Bob Wren Stadium.

In the first game, Ohio starter Denny McGee (1-2) took the loss despite striking out eight while allowing only two earned runs. Unfortunately, the Bobcat bats plated only two runs, and the players on the field committed two errors. Jason Arbinger and Brian Wingfield drove in Ohio runs. Wingfield hit his first home run.
