Women's golf in Fighting Camel Classic
The Ohio women's golf team travels to Buies Creek, N.C.,
today for the Fighting Camel Classic.
Ohio is one of 11 teams to participate in the ninth annual classic, to be held at the Keith Hills Country Club, a par 72-course. The host, Campbell, is attempting to defend its title.
Ohio has won three of six events this year, finishing no lower than fifth. On March 10 and 11, three Bobcats finished in the top six in the Northern Illinois Springlake Classic, which Ohio won by six strokes.
Julee Sovesky led the way with a two-round score of 144 for her second medal of the season. Sovesky was named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week for her performance.
