Senate encourages students to voice opinions about student center funding

Ohio University Student Senators will conduct an open forum to discuss student center funding April 30 in Baker University Center.

Funding for the center could come from private donations, university funds or a student fee, senate President Jim Hintz said at last night's meeting. Senators plan to gather student input before deciding on senate's preferred funding method.

Also at the meeting, Michael Bugeja, special assistant to the president, presented ideas for a possible Tier III class focusing on the PATH campaign. PATH, which stands for Personal Accountability, Trust and Honor, is the university's effort to promote responsible behavior.

The class would help students apply ethical standards to workplace conduct, Bugeja said.
