Get messy with feathers and paper

The Kennedy Museum of Art student staff has organized "Frame Your Sib," an arts and crafts project planned for Saturday afternoon. Students and related kin can hand-make their own picture frames from a wide assortment of materials.

"We have fake gem stones, feathers, shiny paper, buttons, markers, crayons, all that craft stuff," said Rebecca Simmons, a member of the student staff. "There is something for all age groups."

Admission is free, but $1 will pay for a Polaroid picture to fill the handmade frame. The event will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., but Simmons encourages people to come at their own pace.

The other parts of the museum will be open, including the "Woven Vessels: Chauncey Elementary Fifth Grade" and the Southwest Native American Collection.

Transportation to the museum will be available from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. across from Baker University Center on East Union Street.
