Afghan Muslim pilgrims yesterday wait to board a British C-130 Hercules transport aircraft in Kabul airport to fly them to Saudi Arabia. Britain, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan sent aircraft to Afghanistan to pick up thousands of people who have been unable to travel to Mecca for the annual Islamic pilgrimage due to a lack of flights from Afghanistan, an official said yesterday.
