OU associate professor awarded professorship

The founders of an Ohio-based distributor of hydraulic and power transmission equipment chose an Ohio University associate professor of industrial technology as the first Kraft Family Scholar.

Thomas Scott, associate professor in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology, received the three-year, renewable professorship from Bob and Marie Kraft of Kraft Fluid Systems.

Scott will serve as a role model for other faculty in teaching, research, service, professional activities and leadership.

"I want to continue to bring real world experience to the teaching process," Scott said.
