Nelsonville garage roof to be repaired
During a council meeting last night, Nelsonville City Council decided
to repair a leaking roof in the citys new garage
The garage, which now houses the police and fire departments, is
leaking over the truck repair area and over newly carpeted rooms. City
Manager Mark Fiorello said he received a bid from Carl T. Johnson, Inc.,
to repair the roof immediately.
Fully repairing the roof will total $24, 985.
In other council news:
n Council agreed to house Athens County prisoners in the Southeastern
Ohio Regional Jail instead of the county jail.
n Gannett Fleming offered to donate an ultra-violet waste water system
to the city. Nelsonville would still have to pay for installation. The
new system would decrease sludge and chemicals and would help complete
