Child porn suspects to go on trial in March

MARIETTA, Ohio – The trial of two men indicted on nearly 200 counts of using computer networks at two colleges to spread child pornography over the Internet has been set for March 25.

Robert Lynn Sandford, 32, of Vincent, and Eugene Robert Anderson, 51, of Parkersburg, W.Va., were arraigned Tuesday in Washington County. Both pleaded not guilty and were released on personal recognizance bonds.

The charges include pandering obscenity involving a minor, promoting prostitution, unauthorized use of property, wiretapping and tampering with evidence.

Sandford is an Ohio University employee, and Anderson is a former Marietta College computer expert.

An OU spokesman said the school was trying to determine if Sandford misused university equipment.
