Leters to the Editor

Editor,

Glory be to the Post columnist, who is probably seeking bodyguard protection right now! She, like myself, apparently did not receive the mandatory copy of a Dave Matthews Band CD upon entering college. Nor did I receive a John Belushi "College" poster for that matter. And, we're better people for it.

Is Mr. Dave and his band of co-horts talented? Certainly. Is he a god? Hardly - not even in a musical sense. Remember, even "Wham!" had their fans.

I am a confessed music snob, but this is a genuine letter of concern for the Dave Matthews Band fans whom I've lovingly christened Branch Davidians.

It's OK to love the man and his music, but you got to draw the line before the almighty Mr. Dave starts asking you to drink some Jim Jones-brand Kool-Aid.

Having cracked-out religious conversions is one thing, but to a DMB song? Just enjoy DMB while you can because you only get a two-year grace period after graduation before you have to relinquish your DMB CDs.
