Why we want your phone number: Sometimes, something you submit to The Post Online is of high enough quality that we want to publish it in the print edition. To do so, we need some verification of who you are for legal reasons. Due to the inherently insecure nature of emails, we require phone verification of your submission prior to publication. We will never sell, lease, publish, or otherwise use your phone number for anything else besides the aforementioned reasons. It isn't mandatory to give us a phone number, but if you don't, then we can't use anything you submit in the print edition of the paper.
